Assignment Review & Completion Day: LFA Shamanic Training

9:30 AM » 12:00 PM

This gathering is for all current and former students of the Life Force Arts Shamanic Training program to finish the assignments from the seminar(s) they attended. The purpose is to finish your assignments all in one day! We do this through oral presentations and discussions of the assignments, so you do not have to finish the assignments by writing them.

Enjoy a convivial time with fellow shamanic students and instructor Joan Forest Mage and continue your shamanic learning. Anyone who has attended an LFAST seminar is welcome, even if you have completed the assignments, but want a "refresher course" on the material, and to meet new and old shamanic buddies. There is no cost for attendance, and refreshments will be provided.

This gathering is for you if:
- finishing your assignments has been on your "to-do" list for the longest time
- you really like talking about rather than writing your assignments
- your assignments are all done but you just haven't copied and pasted them onto the student forum
- you enjoy live discussion of the books and assignments with fellow shamanic practitioners

We will start with the assignments for Level 1 (Energetic Protection, Sensing Energy, Shamanic Journeying) and then do the assignments for Level 2 (Nature Spirits, Healing Ritual, Shapeshifting) if there are students from Level 2 needing to complete those assignments.

Transits, Tracking & You, Part 1: Astrology for 2019 with Elena Sakopoulos

1:00 PM » 4:00 PM

Following the movement of planets and celestial bodies provides great insight into the energy we have to work with at any point in time. Overlaying astrological transits (current positions of planets) onto your own chart can be a powerful predictive and supportive tool. For example, what might you experience for the couple of years that Saturn opposes your Sun sign? Or what type of social outing might you want to schedule when the Moon passes over your Venus on Friday evening? Knowing our transits helps us make decisions about our goals, priorities, and self-care practices.

This course will explore astrological transits for now through July 2019, during the the waxing (days getting longer) half of the year. Spring and summer are all about growth, expansion, and sowing seeds for the future, and we've got lots of support from the planets around these themes at this time. We will look at examples from participants’ charts and in keeping with LFAF’s current art exhibit The Waxing Year, will explore what the transits have to tell us about this time of the year.

If you’re familiar with your birth chart and are excited to use that knowledge on a practical, day-to-day basis, this is the course for you! Stay tuned for Part Two of this workshop on September 15, which will explore transits of the Waning Year, 2019.

WHAT TO BRING: a copy of your astrological chart, on paper if you have it. If you have not worked with your astrological chart yet, you can still attend this workshop! Please email your birth date, time (24 hour format) and location (city, state, and country) to and Elena will bring a copy of your chart.
