The Angels’ Angle – Celebrating a Spiritual Halloween

As we reach the end of October and the beginning of festivals related to honoring those on the Other Side, it is amazing to us to see the various traditions that you have created to explain the "unexplainable."

But all is explainable in a Universe that answers your every wish and attracts to you all that you focus upon. We are here to help you understand that whether you see this time of year as "positive" or "negative" — it is all about your own perceptions and understandings.

When the Celts began this tradition, it was out of both hope and fear. Hope that the "dead" would communicate and share their secrets and insights into the future. Fear that if the "dead" weren't pleased, they would create havoc during the coming winter months.

We say "dead" in quotes because no one has truly died and no one is dead. True, their spirit has left their mortal container, but who they really are — true Spirit — is alive and well, loving, living, and learning on the Other Side.

As others conquered the Celts, they incorporated their traditions into this sacred time. The Romans combined two of their traditions: one that honored the dead and one that acknowledged the harvest. The Christians decided to honor the saints at this time of year to replace any pagan ideology. They called it Alholowmesse (from the Middle English meaning "All Saints Day"). Later still, the Church created "All Soul's Day" to honor those "poor" souls who might not have yet made it to heaven (at least in their minds).

For us on the Other Side, we know that all is well. That as children created out of light and love, light and love is where all return.

So, how can you participate in the joy of the Other Side this Halloween season?

  • Recognize that you ARE Spirit and as spirit, you are connected to all — those in the physical and those non-physical (including us, the angels).

  • Focus on the love and light that is your natural right. You can easily access this by gently closing your eyes and taking in a few deep breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth.

  • Call us close, ask to feel our presence, and we will surround you with our healing, loving energy. You might feel chills or a warming sensation when we connect because of the higher vibration we bring to you.

  • If you have loved ones on the Other Side, know that they are always with you — but this time of year, with its tradition of connection, does help you to BELIEVE that the connection is stronger. And, so it is. So, consider having a special ritual for connecting with the Other Side. It can be as simple as lighting a candle and feeling the love that you have for the one that is non-physical. Breathe deeply, relax, and connect.

  • Lastly, have fun! Many of you take life too seriously. We know that it feels serious to you, and we acknowledge how important things appear from the physical. But... as you release and lighten up, your angels, guides, and loved ones can connect with you more easily. Each day, find something to laugh about. Really laugh from the bottom of your tummy. See the beauty of the season. Laugh at the rain, enjoy the sun, feel the brisk autumn air, and know that you are so loved here on the Other Side.
