A Shaman Chef.... me? Hardly.
I certainly don't have the discipline and organizational skills to be considered a chef. I don't even own a set of those cool little glass dishes they use on TV for the ingredients.
Heck, I burn things! (Literally. I'm a pyrographic artist.)
I play with fire...
I ignite my food (saganaki),
I sizzle, saute, and roast my food (in butter of course),
I also burn my food... on purpose (my blackened cajun chicken never fails to set off the smoke alarm - mmmm time for dinner!).
...well, you get the idea.
I don't "really" cook.
I play with my food...
I only eat what I want,
I only eat when I want,
I only eat how I want,
I have a love affair with my food!
But Joan persisted.... she seemed to recall that I had mentioned to her my chocolate fondue, aphrodisiacs, and Valentine's Day - probably all in the same salivating breath. (I really love fondue, by the way, you have fire and playing with food... what's not to like?)
Then she went for the kill... She mentioned tying it in with the seasonal celebration of Imbolc. The Festival of Brigid, my patroness, the Goddess of Inspiration, how could I resist?
I conceded defeat. A seductive landscape of multiple types of melted chocolates paired with fresh fruit, baked goods, meats, cheeses, popcorn, drizzling, dunking, dripping.... oh ecstasy! All for the noblest of purposes...LOVE!
How will I pull this off?
Fire, Chocolate, Love, Brigid, Inspiration....
I am confident it will be a deliciously magickal experience!
