“The crystal skulls are insisting,” says international crystal healer and expert DaEl Walker. “They are a puzzle that wants to be understood ... in a time when the planet is evolving and life is expanding.”

What are the messages from the crystal skulls? What are the energy healing possibilities with crystals? For more than 35 years, DaEl Walker, director of the Crystal Awareness Institute in California, has been exploring the answers to these questions – especially when he couldn’t get answers from scientific, medical, or religious communities.

He has been involved specifically in Crystal Skull Research since 1986, when he was part of a team of researchers traveling to Canada to work with the Mitchell-Hedges skull. He has since worked with 27 crystal skulls and is the guardian of Rainbow, an ancient crystal skull that he travels with, bringing it to the attention of the world.

“I woke up spiritually 35 years ago,” recalls DaEl. Since then, he has continued on a journey of exploration in creating and refining a healing system that is both precise and powerful. “It’s a healing system that is simple, easy to learn, and gets results.” In fact, according to DaEl, “It can provide pain relief in 10 minutes.”

As a grandfather of 11, DaEl observes, “I’ve just been celebrating a new grandbaby. Meanwhile my two-year-old granddaughter is coming up with these interesting comments, observations, insights. And we have to wonder, as this appears in ever-younger children, where is it coming from?”

With the planetary shifts and insights coming through the youngest ones, DaEl is committed to sharing the tools he has been working with to “amplify our natural healing abilities.” He wants to be there to show people how easy and possible it is for them to do this for themselves.

A pioneer and global treasure, part Cherokee descendant, and elder in the Spirit Horse Medicine Society, DaEl has taught in nine countries on four continents. He was the first western healer teaching in Japan. In February 1996, in Hong Kong, he was the only international speaker at the first New Age Expo in Asia. Later, in November 1996, he was the only American among 28 presenters at the first "Conference of Alternative Therapies" held in Romania, Eastern Europe. There, his presentation was voted Best of Conference by the attendees.

In 1998, DaEl received the Martin De La Cruz Prize from the Academia Mexicana de Medicina Tradicional at the 12th International Conference on Traditional Medicine, co-sponsored by the University of New Mexico. This prize is given each year to the individual or organization that has contributed the most to alternative healing.

He has written a series of articles on alternative therapies for the Tin Tin Daily News in Hong Kong. He was recently the guest editor for Insight magazine in Australia, where he now writes a monthly column.
