Main Space

This 450 square foot open room (25 x 19 feet) with a carpeted floor is ideal for  small workshops and meetings.

It can accommodate approximately 20 people seated. Folding chairs and tables are included in the rental cost. We have 63 folding chairs available.Tables available:

  • 5 folding tables that are 6 x 2 feet
  • 2  folding tables that are 5 x 2 feet
  • 1 folding table that is 8 x 2 feet
  • 3 card tables
There is no raised stage or theatrical lighting. There are no mirrors on the walls. We do not have audiovisual equipment (no microphone). There are two bathrooms and a small kitchenette area.

Our Center is an art gallery, with curated shows that remain hanging for 2 - 6 months,.The artwork remains on the walls during all events, i.e., renters are not permitted to remove the artwork from the walls during their rental time.

Renting the Main Space

Rental rate is $40 per hour.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total amount is required to reserve the space. The balance of the rent is due no later than the day of the event.

Rental time includes all set up and clean up. Renter agrees to leave the facility in an orderly, clean, and undamaged condition by the end of the rental time, in the same condition in which the facility was found. Should the facility be damaged by renter's negligence, the renter shall be liable to LFAC for cleaning or repair costs.

Reservations and Payment: Renter must pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full rental fee to reserve the Main Space. The remaining 50% balance of the rental is due no later than the day of the event.

Cancellation policy: If Renter cancels, Renter forfeits the non-refundable deposit. Renter agrees to inform LFAC of any cancellation or change of this contract as soon as possible. If Renter cancels 24 hours or more before the event, Renter receives a refund of any balance of the rent in excess of the non-refundable deposit that Renter has paid.

In the unlikely event that LFAC needs to cancel a specific date or all remaining dates rented, LFAC will inform Renter as soon as possible of such change. If LFAC cancels the date or dates, Renter will have the option of rescheduling the event on a different day and/or time, OR receiving a refund of the full amount of both deposit and balance that Renter has paid for the date or dates.

Criteria for determining whether an event is an LFAC Sponsored Event or a Rental

In a rental, the renter pays $40 per hour, and is in charge of collecting any admission or tuition from his/her participants.

With an LFAC sponsored Event, LFAC collects the admission or tuition from the participants, and splits the proceeds with the presenter 50-50% (the presenter receives 50% and LFAC retains 50% of the admission or tuition fees collected)

An event is usually an LFAC Sponsored Event if:

  • The presentation fits our primary mission, which is to present spiritually based visual, literary and performing art. For example: art exhibits; dance, music and theater performances or classes; visual art classes or lectures;  poetry readings

An event is usually a Rental if:
  • It does not involve visual, literary or performing art. For example, if it's a lecture on nutrition, a class on energy work, a meditation practice etc. that does not have a connection in some way to the arts
  • It is a private event, such as a party
  • Is an event sponsored by an organization such as a spiritual group, who wants to hold their ritual, workshop, etc. in our space
  • Is an event that the presenter wishes to offer free to the public. The presenter pays us, and then they offer it free to their audience

Promotion and Advertising Information for Renters

Renters inform LFAC if they would like LFAC to promote their event. If so, LFAC offers the following promotion of renter events:

  • listing the event on LFAC's website calendar
  • mentioning the event in our "Long List" Event Announcements, which come out the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, to our email list of approximately 1300 subscribers
  • In addition to the "Long List" announcement, the event may be included in some of LFAC's Special Announcements
  • most announcements sent to our email list are also posted to our facebook and twitter accounts
  • presenters are welcome to write articles for our ezine, Transcendent Journeys. See below "To presenters:submitting an article or link for LFAC's ezine"

To Presenters: Submitting an article or link for LFAC's ezine

We're looking forward to your presentation at LFAC!  Do you have an article about your work that we can publish in LFAC's ezine, Transcendent Journeys? This would help publicize your upcoming event.

Articles can be anything from a 3 paragraph blog-type personal reflection to a 4000 word academic document with footnotes. We've published it all in LFAC's ezine! Click here to see past issues of LFAC's ezine, Transcendent Journeys.

Also, we are happy to link to an existing article on your website or other location. We can also link to a youtube video, radio interview, online art gallery and other types of media and display that would be an expression of who you are and what you do.

The article does not have to directly relate to your event, it could be something you've written about another topic. It could also be an online article written by someone other than yourself about the subject of your event.

Deadline for submission of articles is no later than two weeks before the issue. For example, for an issue Feb. 22, we would need the article no later than Feb. 7.
