This 1200 square foot open room with a beautiful hardwood floor can accommodate up to 75 people and is ideal for large workshops, dance, yoga, rituals, parties and meetings.
Renting the Main Space
Rental rate is $40 per hour.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total amount is required to reserve the space. The balance of the rent is due no later than the day of the event.
Rental time includes all set up and clean up. Renter agrees to leave the facility in an orderly, clean, and undamaged condition by the end of the rental time, in the same condition in which the facility was found. Should the facility be damaged by renter's negligence, the renter shall be liable to LFAC for cleaning or repair costs.
Reservations and Payment: Renter must pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full rental fee to reserve the Main Space. The remaining 50% balance of the rental is due no later than the day of the event.
Cancellation policy: If Renter cancels, Renter forfeits the non-refundable deposit. Renter agrees to inform LFAC of any cancellation or change of this contract as soon as possible. If Renter cancels 24 hours or more before the event, Renter receives a refund of any balance of the rent in excess of the non-refundable deposit that Renter has paid.
In the unlikely event that LFAC needs to cancel a specific date or all remaining dates rented, LFAC will inform Renter as soon as possible of such change. If LFAC cancels the date or dates, Renter will have the option of rescheduling the event on a different day and/or time, OR receiving a refund of the full amount of both deposit and balance that Renter has paid for the date or dates.
Facility Rental Policies and Information
Main Space
The Main Space is a 1200 square feet multipurpose room with a hardwood floor. There is no raised stage or theatrical lighting. We do not have audiovisual equipment (no microphone). There is one bathroom (no multiple stalls). There are no kitchen facilities.
Parking: There is free street parking on side streets around the Center. This is the option we recommend. Metered parking is available on Lincoln Avenue in front of the Center. It is $1 per hour, with a two hour limit, i.e., you must feed the meter every 2 hours. There is metered city parking in a lot on Barry Street just south of the Center. A Life Force Arts Center Staff Member opens and closes the Center, and is present throughout the Renter's event. Only LFAC Staff Members have keys to the Center. The LFAC Staff Member stays in the Lobby/Gift Shop area during Renter's event, but may occasionally need to walk through the Main Space to have access to the restroom. The LFAC Staff Member will cooperate with the Renter to ensure that the Staff Member accessing the restroom does not disturb the Renter's event.
Rental is $30 per hour till 6/30/10. Starting 7/1/10, rent is $40 per hour. Renters pay for the amount of time they are actually in the space, including set up and clean up. Renters must rent the space for a minimum of 15 minutes before the beginning time of their event and 15 minutes after the ending time of their event.
Renter agrees to leave the Main Space in the same condition in which it was found.
Renters are responsible for the complete setup and take down of the tables and chairs.
Hardwood floors are easily damaged. Chairs, tables and other objects are to be lifted when they are being moved, not dragged on the floor. Renters will advise their participants of this agreement.
No smoking is allowed in the Center.
No illegal drugs are allowed in the Center.
Candles, incense, sage, etc. are to be used with caution. Safe containers must be used for candles, and care will be taken so that no candle wax is spilled. In the event that candle wax is spilled, Renter is responsible for cleaning any wax spilled before Renter leaves premises.
Anything to be attached to the facility's walls, ceiling, floor, or any area of the room must first be approved by The Executive Director of LFAC. No signs, decorations, etc. may be used that will cause damage to the walls, ceilings, or any area of the room. Permanent tape or nails, push pins, or thumb tacks may not be used without permission. All decorations shall be completely removed from the premises at the end of the contracted rental time.
As per the rules of the condominium association, the Renter may not use the sidewalks, alley or other areas adjacent to the property for any purpose, including seating, display of advertisements solicitations or demonstrations.
LFAC reserves the right to cancel any event in which untrue information was given and/or if the event would be contrary to the integrity of the facilities and/or the rules and regulations governing the use of the facilities.
Pay for rental of our space:
