Always wanted to learn about astrology? This is the class for you! This 6 hour workshop covers the building blocks of the astrological language: the structure of the zodiac, and  the birth chart/horoscope in some depth: the planets, signs, and houses. The goal is to familiarize each student with the terminology  needed  to begin the study of astrology for themselves, in a time efficient manner.

The Language of Astrology assumes no previous knowledge of astrology, and no chart mathematics are taught at this level. Joe will provide all handouts and the natal chart of each student. We will learn from our own charts and those of our classmates.

For those familiar with astrology, this is an excellent review that can give you valuable new insights into core astrological concepts.

Topics Covered Include:

•  What is Astrology as a field of study and work: its history, uses, and applications. Introducing the Tropical Zodiac and glyphs for 12 signs
• The archetypes (traits/themes) of 12 zodiac signs: What are the planetary rulerships and keywords for each sign, and what do they mean?
• Planets:  The Luminaries (Sun and Moon):  The Personal Planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars); The Social Planets (Jupiter/Saturn). The Outer Planets ( Uranus/ Neptune/ Pluto). How do these energies work in your chart?
• The Structure of Your Chart: The Rising Sign and Planet ruling the 1^st house.  The Astrological Angles and 12 Houses.
• Key Planetary Relationships: The 5 Major Aspects – Conjunction, Sextile. Square, Trine and Opposition.
