Join April Wagner for a six week adventure through the Tarot.  Tarot can be a flexible and accessible tool for not only divination but self-exploration, brain storming, and just plain fun. Instead of a grand mystique that can make the cards seem intimidating, we will discover how the cards are adaptable to any lifestyle and belief system and can be read by anyone.

We’ll trace the tarot’s evolution from its medieval roots through modern times and into the future.  Learn how to read for yourself and others through a combination of traditional methods and personal interpretation.  This course is ideal for beginners and dabblers who have found the Tarot frustrating or confusing to work with.  Gain confidence in your interpretations and learn how to apply the Tarot’s rich symbolism to your own life.

Students will need a Tarot deck and a journal or notebook.  If you have a Tarot deck already, please bring it to the first class. If you don't have a deck, advice on how to choose a Tarot deck will be covered in the first class.

April Wagner has been reading and studying tarot cards since 1995.  Although she has explored many other forms of divination, April has always found something special in the tarot's ability to evoke responses through artwork.  She has written many articles and tarot deck reviews for print and the web, and currently contributes to LFAC's Transcendent Journeys eZine.  In 2005 April founded the Chicago Tarot club to provide a social network for professionals and hobbyists in the area.
