At Life Force Arts Foundation, our goal is for all beings to enjoy ecstasy and empowerment.

Ecstasy means uniting with the Life Force, the inner flow of energy that permeates all existence. Connected to this vast spiritual energy, we experience great joy, freedom, peace and love. Ecstasy, as Gabrielle Roth says, is found in “those times when we are grounded in our body, pure in our heart, clear in our mind, rooted in our soul, and suffused with the energy, the spirit of life.”

Empowerment means being fully present and energized. It is recognizing one’s own self-worth and authority, and having the wisdom and skill to take effective action.

At Life Force Arts Foundation, we believe that nurturing the uniqe gifts of each individual and establishing good relationships in community allows ecstasy and empowerment to manifest. Our work is grounded in the Creative Community Meduicine Wheel, a training method for skills of healthy community. Creative Community is based in the principles of shamanism, an ancient form of spiritual healing found in virtually every culture. Developed by Contemporary Shaman Joan Forest Mage, Creative Community guides participants from personal healing through spiritual wellness and finally to live an empowered and contributive life. Creative Community utilizes the arts as the perfect methodology for this teaching.

In modern times, the arts have often been relegated to the category of amusements, not to be taken seriously. Yet, the arts contain highly developed, time-proven meditational and energy practices that enable us to communicate with the inner self, with fellow humans, with Nature and the ancestors/spirit realm. In the world today, where people yearn for true connection, we have only to look to the arts to find superb spiritual-energy communication technologies that can help us restore true community.

The work at LFA is not based in a particular ethnic culture or religious belief. Rather, it is a contemporary combination of artistic, psychological and spiritual practice in a non-denominational approach to greater wholeness. We work with core principles of cross-cultural shamanism, which focus on the direct experience of the intuitive/spiritual realm. Our programs seek to connect people to the spiritual side of life in a way that individuals of various beliefs and life experiences can embrace in their own way, discovering their own truth.
